Last week the provincial government announced that effective May 4th certain businesses would be allowed to re-open under strict safety guidelines.
 
Marinas may now begin preparations for the recreational boating season by servicing boats and other watercraft, and placing boats in the water, but marinas may not open to the public.

The province of Ontario has released a roadmap to reopening businesses, services and public spaces but has not indicated dates at this time.

Ontario Extends Business Closures to Stop the Spread of COVID-19 Additional Measures Necessary to Protect the Health and Safety of the People of Ontario

The government has ordered the closure of all non-essential services which includes the Thunder Bay Yacht Club Mission Island yard and clubhouse.

Effective Saturday April 4th, 2020 the Mission Island yard and clubhouse will be closed to member use.

TBYC programmes will be postponed until further notice. This may impact timelines for our boating season.
