RACES STARTING OFF PIER ONE (no committee boat) Course C and D

The starting line for Course C & D will be between the flagpole on the end of Pier Two and a temporally mark set as square to the wind as practical. The "S" flag will fly if at least one boat has not completed the first triangle within 90 minutes of the start.  

Course C:  (used when no committee boat and wind is from the south to south west)

Leave Keefer "E15" to port 

Leave "E4" to port

Leave start mark to port. (Note: If the "s" flag is shown, this is the finish line for a shortened course)

Leave "E9" to port.

Leave "E3" to port.

Leave finish pin to port.

 

Course D:   (used when no committee boat and wind is from NW to North East)  Code flag R is shown

Leave "HA I" to port.         

Leave start mark to port. (Note: If the "s" flag is shown, this is the finish line for a shortened course)

Leave "E  9" to port

Leave  "E 3' to port.

Leave finish pin to port. (Note: If the "s" flag is shown, this is the finish line for a shortened course)

Leave “E 9 to port.

Leave G"E3" to port.

Leave finish pin to port.

 

Note 1:  If conditions are such that it would be unsafe for the committee boat outside the breakwall, a course may be set inside.   A description of the course will be relayed to racers by the committee boat.

Note 2:  For Monday and Friday night pursuit races START SHALL BE BETWEEN THE PERMANENT FLOATING MARKER AND THE FLAG POLE ON PIER 3.

Note 3:  A course may be shortened at the end of any leg of a course.
